In this tutorial we will walk through the various ways you can send messages to your subscribers. You must have an active subscription for Mobile Marketing Solution or Mobile Business Card + Texting to have access to this feature.
If you have an active subscription for the Mobile Business Card but not one of the two mentioned above, you will need to upgrade your subscription in order to gain access to the features described below.
Step 1: Log into the Mobile Marketing Solution Dashboard
Go to http://myaccount.ditchthenametag.mobi/ and enter your credentials.
Upon successful log on, you will be brought to the Message Center where you draft and send messages to your subscribers.
Looking at the screen from LEFT to RIGHT. We'll identify some of the key areas and their functions.
Organization Tree - Use the organization tree to send messages in bulk to all of your subscribers. If you have multiple Mobile Business Cards or keywords, the Organization Tree is a great way to easily send the same message across all organizations by checking the boxes next to each.
Organization Tree - Use the Address Book to send the same message to multiple subscribers by looking them up via name or telephone number. Useful when sending one time messages to a specific subscribers. For example, to send a meeting reminder.
Idividual/Raffle - Use the Individual/Raffle to send a message to only one individual (does not need to be a subscriber) or to run a raffle to choose an individual (from your subscribers list).
Schedule Message - Check this box to schedule your message for a future date.
Next, let's review the compose a message feature to the right of the screen.
You will place your name or your business's name in the From: box and compose your message within the Message: box. You will see a live preview with character count to the right. We strongly advise you keep your messages under 160 characters to avoid them being sent as two separate texts. Delays in carriers can cause the messages to be received out of order when broken into two messages.
You can also create message templates and select them from the drop down menu below to quickly send out a templated message.
Once you click Send Message, the messages will be sent to the subscribers you have chosen on the left side of the screen. You cannot recall or delete a message once it has been sent.
Schedule A Message
To schedule the message, simply check the box "Schedule Message" and the message scheduler control panel will appear above the compose section.
Using this control panel, you can choose the date and time to send the message in the future. You can also check the box to Repeat Reminder which will allow you to send the message every number of Days, Weeks, Months, or Years, up to a defined number of times.
